What do expats find most challenging?
We asked expats and digital nomads what they find the most challenging about the local culture in Albania. They wrote...
"Expats in Albania often find the local culture to be quite different from what they are used to. Many find the language barrier to be a challenge, as Albanian is not widely spoken outside of the country. Additionally, the local customs and traditions can be difficult to understand and navigate. Expats may also find the local cuisine to be quite different from what they are used to, as Albanian cuisine is heavily influenced by Mediterranean and Balkan flavors. Finally, the local infrastructure can be a challenge, as public transportation is often unreliable and roads can be in poor condition," remarked another expat in Albania.
