"One of the most challenging aspects of retiring in Oman is the cost of living, which is higher than in many other countries. Additionally, the language barrier can be difficult to overcome, as Arabic is the official language of Oman. Furthermore, the climate can be difficult to adjust to, as temperatures can reach up to 50 degrees Celsius in the summer months. Finally, the cultural differences can be difficult to navigate, as Oman is a predominantly Muslim country with a distinct set of customs and traditions," commented one expat who made the move to Oman.
