When we asked people about diversity in Turkey and whether locals are accepting of differences, they said...

"The city is definitely very diverse, people from all backgrounds and also different religions. In general, the Turkish people are very open and kind to foreigners and guests and even if language may be sometimes a hindrance they will go out of their way to help a mom with kids for example," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Istanbul, Turkey.

"Turkey is a diverse country with a population that is composed of many different ethnic and religious groups. People in Turkey are generally accepting of differences and have a strong sense of national pride. There is a long history of cultural exchange and intermingling between different groups, which has helped to create a tolerant and open-minded society," commented one expat who made the move to Turkey.
