As a foreigner living in Nigeria, will I have access to public healthcare? What is it like?
We asked expats in Nigeria if they have access to public healthcare in Nigeria. And, if they do have access, what is it like. They wrote...
"Yes, foreigners living in Nigeria have access to public healthcare. However, the quality of care and availability of services can vary greatly depending on the region. Generally, public healthcare in Nigeria is underfunded and understaffed, leading to long wait times and limited access to specialized care. Additionally, the quality of care may not be up to the standards of other countries. It is important for foreigners living in Nigeria to research the quality of care available in their region and to consider purchasing private health insurance to ensure access to quality care," said a member in Nigeria.
