What type of social life can someone expect in Uganda?
When we asked expats and global nomads about their social experiences in Uganda, they replied...
"Expats, retirees and digital nomads living in Uganda typically have an active social life. They often join local clubs and organizations, attend cultural events, and make friends with other expats, retirees and digital nomads. They also often take part in outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and bird watching. Additionally, they often take advantage of the many restaurants, bars, and cafes in the area to socialize and meet new people," explained one expat living in Uganda.
"Single gals have come here to raft the Nile or other activity and the Ugandan boys prey on them. A lot have left pregnant and/or with HIV. This is not a recommended place to come and hang out if you're a single gal as the men have experience of decieving girls and they will sexually harrasss you non stop," said another in Jinja, Uganda.
