What have your experiences during the pandemic with the local healthcare system been like?
When we asked expats and global nomads in Senegal about their experiences during the pandemic with the local healthcare system, they replied...
"The pandemic has had a significant impact on the healthcare system in Senegal. The government has implemented a number of measures to help contain the spread of the virus, including the closure of schools, the suspension of public gatherings, and the introduction of a nationwide curfew. Despite these measures, the healthcare system has been overwhelmed by the number of cases, leading to long wait times for medical care and a shortage of medical supplies. In addition, the pandemic has caused a disruption in the supply chain, making it difficult for hospitals to obtain the necessary medical supplies. Despite these challenges, the government has taken steps to ensure that the healthcare system is able to cope with the pandemic, including the deployment of additional medical personnel and the provision of additional funding for medical supplies," remarked another expat in Senegal.
