Are foreigners allowed to own property in Pennsylvania?

Answer this Question

When we asked expats in Pennsylvania if foreigners are allowed to own property, they answered...

"Yes, foreigners are allowed to own property in Pennsylvania. Non-U.S. citizens are able to purchase real estate in the state, as long as they meet the same requirements as U.S. citizens. This includes having the necessary funds to purchase the property, obtaining a valid visa, and having the necessary documents to prove their identity. Additionally, foreign investors may need to obtain a tax identification number from the Internal Revenue Service in order to purchase property in Pennsylvania," commented one expat who made the move to Pennsylvania.
