Are foreigners allowed to own property in Myanmar?

Answer this Question

When we asked expats in Myanmar if foreigners are allowed to own property, they answered...

"Foreigners are not allowed to own property in Myanmar. However, they are allowed to lease land for up to 50 years, with the option to renew the lease for another 50 years. Foreigners are also allowed to own condominiums in Myanmar, but they must be purchased through a Myanmar citizen or company. Additionally, foreigners are not allowed to own agricultural land in Myanmar," said another in Myanmar.
