Are foreigners allowed to own property in Albania?

Answer this Question

When we asked expats in Albania if foreigners are allowed to own property, they answered...

"Yes, foreigners are allowed to own property in Albania. The Albanian government has implemented a number of laws and regulations that allow foreign citizens to purchase and own real estate in the country. Foreigners are allowed to purchase land, apartments, and other types of real estate in Albania, and they are also allowed to lease property. However, there are certain restrictions in place, such as the requirement that the property must be used for residential or commercial purposes, and that the foreign citizen must have a valid residence permit in order to purchase property. Additionally, foreign citizens are not allowed to purchase agricultural land in Albania," remarked another expat who made the move to Albania.
