Are foreigners allowed to own property in Belarus?
When we asked expats in Belarus if foreigners are allowed to own property, they answered...
"Foreigners are allowed to own property in Belarus, but there are certain restrictions in place. Foreigners are not allowed to own land, but they can own buildings and other types of real estate. Foreigners must obtain a permit from the Belarusian government in order to purchase property, and they must also register the property with the local authorities. Additionally, foreign ownership of property is limited to a maximum of 49% of the total value of the property," remarked another expat who made the move to Belarus.
