ometepe to liberia or Managua

Will be leaving omotepe on June 2 and want to fly to the states from either liberia or Managua.
Liberia is a bit cheaper and direct, but it seems easier to get to Managua, although the flight from Managua leaves at about 1:30 AM and involves a 5 hour layover. Which would be easier to get to from Ometepe, and how would I get from Ometepe to Liberia if I choose that option. Thanks in advance.
