Cycling, any children's activities, triathlon, swimming, running and basically any outdoor activities

There is a lot of diversity in Perth caused by the influx of people moving in to work in industry. Generally I would say people are accepting of each other without issue.
What are the main industries in this city? What types of career opportunities commonly exist? How do most people find new jobs?
Mining and Offshore Oil and Gas are the major drivers in Perth. Trades, Engineers and just anyone with talent is in demand.
If a friend of yours was thinking of moving to this city or town from far away, what other advice would you give them.
