How do most children get to school everyday? (bus, train, walk, etc.)
A good mix of walking, bus, train and parent drop off.
How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?
The school facilities at the temporary campus are new and well kept. The facilities for Early Years and Elementary students are very nice. More facilities for Middle School children would be nice. With that being said, the new campus that will open in 2012 will provide all the facilities needed for Middle School and High School kids.
What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?
My child is young so she didn't need much of a curriculum transistion. The American Curriculum will help prepare my child for repatriation.
How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?
There is a very active PTA that plans social activities for the students and parents. The PTA is also very open to new members and always looking for volunteers.
What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?
Stamford has a real family feel about the school. My daughter is very happy and has met great friends through the school.
