How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

The facilities are fairly modern. The existing building houses the middle school and the high school. A new elementary school is being built but it is unlikely it will be complete in time for the start of school and school will be delayed because of this. There are extra-curricular activities, but not well organized or thought out other than the sports.

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

There is very little done in the area of transistion of curriculum. It is an American system and other types of curriculum are not very well known. Most students just join the flow and do fairly well.

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

There is an organization called DAAPA which helps the school organize many events. It could be mistaken for a women's social club of mothers who do not have much to do but critique other mothers and the school however.

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

I would look into the other schools in Dubai. This is a for-profit school and has a high turn over of teachers which renders a substandard overall educational experience.
