Bike, car, tram, walking and bus.
How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?
I have found the facilities to be excellent at the Infant School where my daughter attends. The library is wonderful and there have been fundraising efforts this year to add to the library collection so it always growing. In addition to the outdoor playgrounds, there are several indoor 'soft play' rooms and also the famous sensory room called the 'nemo room' by the children. My daughter is offered ballet and an after school movie club at nursery and there are many more activities available as she gets older.
What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?
My daughter started her school experience here so I am unable to answer the question fully, but I do not that most children who return to the US are way ahead of the contemporaries in reading skills for instance.
How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?
There are coffee mornings, Moms and Tots groups and the recently formed PO. The Executive Committee of the Parents Organisation are creating more social events this year. There are also plenty of opportunities to volunteer which helps you meet other parents.
What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?
Go! we love it and it is improving all the time -- 2010/2011.
