Medications & Mail

My husband & I are visiting Medellin for several months & were wondering about getting medications in country & if we can purchase first-aid items there. If insurance companies in the US refuse to fill meds before our departure because it is too early for a refill, is it possible to fill them in Colombia? Also, are there any compounding pharmacies?

Can one set up a temporary mail pick up (general delivery) at a post office? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
