Hi, am most seriously wanting to visit Medellin area late this summer. I have plans on off the grid living in kind place. I have one question that is HUGE to me. Is it EVER sunny in Medellin? I downloaded weather app for Medellin two weeks ago. EVERY time I look it is either thunder storming or raining. Seriously, have looked at app at least 5X/day for 2 weeks which is at least 70 times. Just guessing, Out of 70 views I'd say 55 times thunderstorm, 2 times rain, 2 times drizzle, 4 times cloudy and 7 times mostly cloudy. (i.e. 10 (TEN)% of the time it is MOSTLY CLOUDY and 90% CLOUDY. 0% Sunny and 0% Partly cloudy). So, the sunny side of Medellin is that at the sunniest the city is MOSTLY CLOUDY & only TEN% of the time!!!! Ychhh. Worried. Also, weather apps vary widely. I see that it is usually cold (19c) in Medellin day and night. Then odd,brief spikes (an hour or two) where it hits 27c and then drops back to19c in an hour. Is Medellin really that dismal???
