Soltera Colombiana moving to U.S.

I am American who recently met a single colombiana, 37, never married, to kids. She is moving to the U.S. in June to learn English and start a new life, and hopefully meet someone for marriage. I've made it clear to her I'd like to be the one she seriously considers for marriage, if we are compatible and other things work out.

I'm just slightly worried how she might change after she gets to the U.S. I've heard stories that when a Colombiana experiences how much better many Americanos are compared to Colombianos, in terms of showing them respect, loyalty, etc, that they can become more demanding when choosing a mate. The last thing I need is to be in competition with dozens of other American guys she may find more handsome, more interesting, wealthier, etc, than me. Is that a legitimate concern, or am I worrying over nothing? I think I'm a much better "catch" for her than many Colombianos, but I'm just average when compared to American men. Just curious if anyone has any opinions. Should I pack it in right now and concede defeat to other men who may dazzle her more than I can? haha
