Hi. I am a soon-to-be TEFL graduate and retired corporate executive who has been living in Chiang Mai, Thailand for about 6 weeks. I have decided to relocate in March to Medellin after my research and am excited about the prospects there. Also, as an American, I like the proximity back to North America should it be necessary or needed. My questions is about potential neighborhoods in which to rent. Poblado seems upscale but I want to be open to less glitz and more charm. I'll be looking for a very nice furnished 1 bedroom in a good area and will rely on public transport for now. So, any advice on smart, charming areas in addition to Poblado? Many thanks...gracias amigos.
