What are the rules?

As a Canadian citizen I am planning on moving to Cali, Colombia this upcoming August. I am about to complete my TESL diploma which allows me to teach English abroad. I am wondering what the rules are about how long I can stay in Colombia for? What is the best place to find the information about these conditions? Most importantly, does anyone have some information or tips for me??
