Medellin air pollution

Looks like the exploding population in Medellin is causing air pollution problems. I only lived there for three months before leaving because the air aggravated my throat so much. Coming down from the higher areas such as from Rio Negro you can always see a pall of smog over Medellin. Pity. I like the city but not a healthy lifestyle with such bad air.
