-we’re both US citizens with SS pensions plus she’s a Colombian National. I got the M visa through her, just finishing the 3 year requirement so trying to get the R now. We use her bank account here to which we transfer monthly needs, so I’m under her for immigration purposes, we always have a good bank balance, and I’m trying to do the R visa as if still under her (keep under radar), so hoping to use bank balances to prove she’s got this covered.
1. Question is, to cover proof of income I’ll try tomorrow to get a bank letter stating all the good stuff plus the last 3 statements as they request. Do you think they’ll press for the social security statements (online no problem), plus translated and apostilled.? Yeah, that would mean a short trip back to States to cover that.
