Moving to New Kingston

Hi everyone. I'll be moving to New Kingston soon and would like to know about the cost of living there- in particular the cost of Apt. rental. I was told I should allocate at least 35,000 + JA dollars (about 530 US)for rent and about 8,000-10,000 JA for groceries.

What in your view is a reasonable cost for an apartment in N. Kingston? Any info you can provide will be appreciated.
