Hello

We are US (California) residents researching a possible retirement move to France in the next couple of years. We would prefer a location and climate like where we currently live - mild winters and warm (but rarely hot) summers, relatively close to either the sea or mountains. We would be especially interested in any insights on the Charente-Maritime area, particularly around La Rochelle. Thank you!
