Hello Everyone. My name is Stacey Fehir and I am pursuing my PhD in I/O psychology at Florida Institute of Technology. I am also the daughter of a repatriate from Ford Motor Company. Putting these two things about myself together, I am currently studying issues related to expatriate and repatriate adjustment to either the host or home company.
I am currently working on my Masters thesis looking at issues related to repatriate adjustment back into the home organization following an international assignment. Although, attempting a topic like this in graduate school has lead me to one problem- participants! I am searching for people who are repatriates, or friends, colleagues, or family with repatriates.
If you or anyone you know could possibly complete my on-line survey, that would be GREATLY appreciated. There is no identifying information, everything is online, and it is completely secure and private. Below is an invitation that can be copied and sent to anyone that can help. THANK YOU for you time in reading this email. Please email me back with any further questions about this study or anything related to HR or I/O psychology.

Dear returned expatriate,
You are invited to participate in a research study that examines issues associated with the repatriation process. You are being asked to participate in the current study because you have previously been placed on an international assignment. Many repatriates have strong experiences from their international assignment and might not have the chance to talk about them. The current study concerns your experiences during the repatriation process and your experiences at work. If you choose to participate in the study, you will be asked to complete a number of questionnaires on a secure online web site. The study will take approximately forty (40) minutes, and may be completed at any time during the day. However, it is requested that you complete the entire questionnaire during one sitting.
Data compiled from your responses will be kept strictly confidential at all times, and no identifying information will be obtained. Only the investigator and supervising professor will have access to your responses.
The current research will be used to advance knowledge regarding methods that organizations can utilize to aid in the return adjustment process for repatriates.
If you would like to participate please click on the following URL address or copy and paste it in the URL:

Thank you for taking the time to participate in this study, and please send this request to any other repatriates (who were on an international assignment for a period of at least nine months) that may be interested in assisting in this type of research.
If you have any questions, please contact the investigator at the address provided below. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
