Homebuilding Experiences...

Rather than post the ever-present "how much does it cost", I've wondered if any here either worked with a builder or built their own home there in Panama. Just wondering what your' experiences were like for those that have. Were there things that made you scratch your head? (or pull out your hair?). Did you find it to be less expensive than here? Were any items just crazy-difficult to come by, and what particular perks did you add to "make it your own?"
