Small pick up truck suggestions

I could use some advice on buying a small pick up truck. I know there are models for sale that they do not have in the states and prices are higher. I am looking for the best bang for my buck or peso and a reliable model is a priority. Good on gas is up there too. Here they stopped selling the small pick ups that Toyota and Datsun used to make but do they sell small ones there? I have an old small Datsun that still runs great but I know I can not bring it. I saw a post about low cost Chery trucks but some people said not that good. Is there any websites that have prices for new?
