I realize this topic is a bit dated, I'm a retired general contractor (had three construction businesses in Washington State, USA..
I'm considering a move to Dominica and am glad to see this forum - I have a lot to learn about this country.
I'm researching the process of moving and where to look for property/housing.
I had thought about starting a construction business where I would take a less physical part - as I'm 67 years old and can't keep up with what I used to be :-) Although, I can lead crews and handle all phases of residential/commercial construction.
I'll be back in this forum again - after I've done a bit more research. If you have any tidbits of info, you can email me at: [email protected]
My name is AL.

Good Day,

I will be there next week for a couple months on a work assignment till the end of Sept or perhaps a bit later.

Have you considered hiring an outside contractor? With the slowdown in the Trinidad economy there are a lot of contractors with idle resources who might want to take up the challenge if the price is right.

I can put you in touch with a couple. Let me know.

It sounds to me that we need an EXPAT CONTRACTOR to move to Dominica! When we have lemons, make lemonade!
And no, I am not a Contractor - bummer. According to what I am reading, if anyone knows a contractor in the US or Canada that would love to live on that BEAUTIFUL Island and make a serious living, I'd be contacting him/her.
Sorry, had to put in my 2 cents/sense. LOL.
