Expats should be aware that the official language is English, although many locals also speak Afrikaans and German. It is important to research the cost of living in Namibia before moving, as prices can vary significantly depending on the area. Expats should also be aware that Namibia is a very safe country, with low levels of crime and a strong police presence. Finally, it is important to remember that Namibia is a very hot country, with temperatures often reaching over 40 degrees Celsius in the summer months," said one expat who made the move to Namibia.
