"Mississippi offers a wide range of healthcare services, including primary care, specialty care, mental health services, and preventive care. The state is home to a number of hospitals and medical facilities, including the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, which is the state's only academic medical center. Other major hospitals in the state include Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, Merit Health Central in Jackson, and Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Mississippi also has a number of rural health clinics and community health centers that provide care to underserved populations," commented one expat living in Mississippi.
