"Before retiring in Kiev, expats should familiarize themselves with the local language, as English is not widely spoken. It is also important to research the cost of living in Kiev, as prices can vary significantly depending on the area. Additionally, expats should be aware of the local laws and regulations, as well as any visa requirements for long-term stays. Finally, expats should consider the availability of healthcare services in Kiev, as well as any insurance options that may be available," said one expat in Kiev.

"Do not unless you have enough money to support yourself without working and you like long cold winters, terrible drivers and terrible food," said one expat who made the move to Kiev.
