You can ask for recommendations from other expats or locals. Consider hiring a doula or midwife who can provide additional support and guidance throughout your pregnancy and during childbirth. Learn about the local customs and practices related to pregnancy and childbirth. This can help you understand what to expect and how to navigate the healthcare system. Ensure that you have all the necessary documents for your baby, such as a birth certificate. You may also need to register the birth with your home country's embassy or consulate. Prepare for the possibility of needing to travel for certain medical procedures or tests. Not all medical services may be available on the island.
