"It is important for expats expecting a baby in Tbilisi to research local maternity care and birthing options to ensure the best possible care for their baby. This research should include looking into the available prenatal care and delivery options. Expats should also ensure the maternity ward at their chosen hospital or birthing centre is staffed with English-speaking staff to assist them throughout labor and delivery. Additionally, it is essential to ask friends, family and other expats living in Tbilisi for advice and information on maternity care, birthing options, childcare, and any other questions or concerns that an expat might have regarding the pregnancy and childbirth. Finally, it is highly advised to take out a comprehensive medical insurance policy in case of any complications during the pregnancy or the birth of their child," said a member in Tbilisi, Georgia Rep, Georgia.
