What do expats find most challenging?
We asked expats and digital nomads what they find the most challenging about the local culture in San Clemente. They wrote...
"Expats in San Clemente often find the language barrier to be the most challenging aspect of the local culture, as not everyone speaks English and communication can be difficult. They also struggle with adjusting to the slower pace of life, which is a stark contrast to the fast-paced lifestyle they may be used to. The lack of certain amenities and conveniences that they are accustomed to in their home countries can also be a challenge. Additionally, understanding and adapting to local customs and traditions can be difficult for some expats. Lastly, dealing with bureaucracy and red tape, especially in relation to legal and property matters, can be a significant challenge," said a member in San Clemente, Ecuador.
