What is it like to retire in Taipei?
We asked retirees what it is like retiring in Taipei. They said...
"Taipei is an attractive destination for retirees due to its low cost of living, excellent health care, and modern infrastructure. Moreover, it is a vibrant city offering a variety of activities to keep retirees engaged. The city is home to a wide range of cultural and historical attractions, as well as parks, museums, and traditional markets. For those who want to spend their days outdoors, there are plenty of recreational parks and trails to explore. The city also serves as an ideal base for weekend trips to nearby natural and historical sites. Although the public transportation is slightly more challenging for seniors, making it slightly less convenient than in other cities, there are also plenty of taxis and buses available. Additionally, the friendly locals make settling down in this diverse city incredibly easy. Overall, retirement in Taipei will be a fulfilling and culturally-rich experience," remarked another expat in Taipei, Taiwan.
