What are healthcare services like in Kep?
We asked retirees if they have access to good medical care in Kep. They wrote...
"Healthcare services in Kep are quite basic and may not meet the standards of Western healthcare. The city has a few local clinics and pharmacies that provide basic medical care and medications. However, these facilities often lack advanced medical equipment and highly trained medical professionals. For serious medical conditions, patients often have to travel to larger cities like Phnom Penh or even to other countries. The healthcare staff in Kep may not speak English fluently, which can pose a communication barrier for foreign patients. It's also important to note that hygiene standards may not be as high as in Western countries. Despite these challenges, the Cambodian government is making efforts to improve healthcare services in Kep and other parts of the country," said another expat in Cambodia.
