The population consists of various ethnic groups, including Chamorros, Carolinians, Filipinos, Chinese, Koreans, and other Pacific Islanders. This melting pot of cultures has led to a unique blend of traditions, languages, and cuisines. In general, people in Saipan are accepting of differences and embrace the multicultural environment. The island's history of colonization and migration has contributed to a society that values tolerance and understanding. However, like any place, individual experiences may vary, and there may be instances of discrimination or prejudice. Overall, Saipan's diverse population and welcoming atmosphere make it a vibrant and inclusive community," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Saipan, the United States.
"Saipan is a culturally diverse place, with over 135 ethnicities represented within its population. This includes a mix of native Chamorros, Filipino, Chinese, Japanese and US mainlanders. People in Saipan are generally very accepting of differences, with no one group predominantly outnumbering any other.
