What should I pack when moving to Suva?

Answer this Question

We asked people living in Suva to list three things they wish they had brought and three they wish they had left behind. They responded...

"When moving to Suva, it is important to pack items that will help you adjust to the tropical climate. Pack lightweight, breathable clothing such as shorts, t-shirts, and sundresses. Bring a hat and sunglasses to protect yourself from the sun. Bring comfortable shoes for walking around the city. Pack a light raincoat or umbrella in case of rain. Don't forget to bring sunscreen and insect repellent to protect yourself from the sun and bugs. Bring a few items to help you stay cool, such as a fan or air conditioning unit. Finally, make sure to bring any necessary documents, such as your passport and visa," said another expat in Suva, Fiji.
