Will I need to travel to see a specialist?

Answer this Question

When we asked members in Riga if they typically need to travel to see specialists, they replied...

"Yes, there are a good number of medical specialists in Riga. People in Riga have access to a wide range of medical specialists, including general practitioners, specialists in internal medicine, cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, and other specialties. For highly specialized medical care, people in Riga can go to the University of Latvia Medical Centre, which is the largest and most advanced medical centre in the country. The centre has a wide range of specialists, including oncologists, neurologists, and cardiologists, as well as a number of specialized clinics and laboratories. Additionally, there are several private clinics in Riga that offer highly specialized medical care," remarked another expat who made the move to Riga, Latvia.
