What do people like (and dislike) about Ocho Rios?
When we asked expats and global nomads what they like and dislike about living in Ocho Rios, they replied...
"Expats and digital nomads living in Ocho Rios, often like the beautiful beaches, warm weather, and stunning natural scenery that the area offers. They appreciate the laid-back and friendly atmosphere, as well as the rich cultural heritage and vibrant music scene. The cost of living is relatively affordable, and there is a wide variety of delicious local cuisine to enjoy. On the other hand, some expats and digital nomads may dislike the limited availability of reliable high-speed internet, which can be a challenge for those who rely on it for work. Additionally, the infrastructure and public transportation options may not be as developed as in other countries, making it difficult to get around without a car. Crime and safety can also be a concern, particularly in certain areas of the city. Finally, some expats may find it challenging to navigate the local bureaucracy and deal with the slower pace of life when it comes to getting things done," commented one expat who made the move to Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
