Is there a lot of crime in Tanzania?

Answer this Question

We asked people if there is a lot of crime. They answered...

"Tanzania has a relatively low crime rate compared to other countries in the region. However, there are still reports of petty theft, pickpocketing, and other forms of crime in the larger cities. In rural areas, the crime rate is much lower, but there have been reports of violent crime, such as robbery and assault. In general, it is advised to take precautions when travelling in Tanzania, such as avoiding walking alone at night and keeping valuables out of sight," remarked another expat who made the move to Tanzania.
