What do I need to know before moving to Jordan?

Answer this Question

When we asked people what advice they would give someone preparing to move to Jordan, they said...

"Expatriates moving to Jordan should be aware that Arabic is the official language, although English is widely spoken. It is important to familiarize yourself with the local customs and culture, as well as the laws and regulations of the country. It is also important to research the cost of living in Jordan, as well as the availability of housing and other amenities. Additionally, expats should be aware of the climate in Jordan, which can be hot and dry in the summer and cold and wet in the winter. Finally, expats should make sure to obtain the necessary visas and permits before moving to Jordan," remarked another expat who made the move to Jordan.
