How much to rent in Corozal at local prices?

Hi. I visited Belize for the first time last month to check it out as a possible place to live in the future. I am a 40 yo Brit and am just in the process of starting an online business with friends. I decided that Corozal Town would be my best bet since it is cheap and close to Mexico. I met one guy there (Calvin the rapper from San Antonio Village......anyone know him?) who told me I could could rent a reasonable apartment for $200USD per month if I went through a local realtor who would offer me a 'local' price. I didn't have time to follow up on this but just wondered if this was feasible?
