I recently met a young woman in Bogota. I work remotely, online, and make far in excess in a month what she makes in a year. There are three major challenges we have found out in the last month:
1. I know very little Spanish and she knows very little English. We have been relying on Google Translate via our smartphones, but it obviously isn't ideal. How likely is it that, if I pay, she would be able to relatively quickly (say, 30-45 days) be approved for an F-1 student visa to learn English in NYC where I live for 3-4 months? This would be an ideal situation.
2. What steps can I take to help her get a 10 year tourist visa to the U.S.? I don't mind living 6 months in the U.S. and 6 months in Bogota until we're married.
3. What steps should I take to live in Bogota longer than the 90 days no visa will let me?
I basically just need to spend some real quality time with her. I do NOT want to be in a situation where we go months and months without seeing each other. Please, let me know. Also, if you think a lawyer is the right way to go, I would greatly appreciate referrals.
