Best place for young semi retired single

I am a Canadian professional thinking about retiring in Colombia. I'm active 52 year old female with limited Spanish (but working on becoming fluent). I enjoy the outdoors and being in a smaller town or in the countryside. I would like to have local residents as friends as well as having some expats around. I'm a doctor in canada and I wonder if I would be able to work as a doctor or healthcare assistant (paid or voluntarily) in Columbia.
