Taxes for Expats in Colombia

Hello everyone,

I am new to this site, but thank you all for the incredible amount of information here!

I have been visiting Colombia for about a year and a half now and strongly considering relocating there; however, I have read some articles about taxes that almost seem hard to believe. I have read that not only do they tax your global income, but there is a wealth tax based on a persons total accumulated wealth as well. Not that I am wealthy :-) but am I trying to figure out what my annual tax liability might be if I decide to relocate.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!
