Canadian looking for advice on Moving to Jamaica

I am new to this forum!

I am looking for any advice on making my transition into JA an easier one!

I will be marrying a citizen of JA in Oct 2011, hoping to move in December 2011.

Does anyone know what rights I have to stay in JA? (I also have an 8 yr old) The airlines require that you have a return flight, or is it immigration that requires that.

I will also be opening a business sometime in the new year. Do I require a visa or something to do so. I am so clueless in this process. (I will be married at this point)

Also these questions came to mind:

Has anyone gone through getting there drivers licence - I will have 3 months to do so.

Can I keep my Canadian drivers licence and renew each year? Can I keep these Canadian ties, such as a bank account?

I very much appreicate any help that anyone has, or experiences that they want to share.

;)
