Moving back home to Jamaica

Hi, Because I am retired I am seriously considering moving back home to Jamaica early next year, if not before. I am very concerned about the crime situation, because criminals prey on returning residents regardless of age. I need to know how safe it is in Richmond housing development, St. Ann. I know it is gated but a lot of these communities sometimes will allow more than one car to enter through the gates before closing. I need feedback on the safety, if not at Richmond, then where on the North Coast.. Thank you RD
