What to bring?!

Hello!
Looking for Canadians over 40yrs to advise please
We are from Canada moving to Paraguay and can’t find good info on what to bring?
We have a variety of small kitchen appliances (kitchen aid, etc) and expensive tools that we don’t know if we should bring them, pay the duty and then deal with the power conversion or just replace them down there? Are there identical brands or should we just bring what we have and pay to ship?
We realize we would need adapters.
What do most people do?
Thank you!!
