Health Insurance-Pre-existing Condition

I have a pre-existing condition and I am just starting to look at international health insurance before I decide to early retire abroad. If I cannot find adequate coverage then my dream of moving abroad is over. Does anyone have any experience with pre-existing conditions and private international health plans? I figure the national health plans of many countries would not cover pre-existing conditions. Does it change depending on which country you move to?
